The Slaughters Manor House has four rooms on the ground floor of the Coach House, one of which is a less able bodied access room (Magnolia). For carers and guests with a disability, one of these rooms will always be offered at our lowest available public rate at the time of booking.

Our car park is on a level and has a gravel surface. The drop-off point is at the coach house door for wheelchair access to the coach house and the restaurant.
There are nine steps into main reception and wheelchair access to the restaurant is via the patio on the right hand side of the building.
Our staff are trained in disability awareness and are available to assist you with any reasonable request. Should you require and assistance with luggage, please contact reception prior to your arrival where a member of staff will be happy to help.
The hotel has a private car park on-site which is complimentary to our guests.
The reception at The Slaughters Manor House is located on the upper ground floor and is accessed via nine steps. The floor is short pile carpet and rug. There are no corridors and the front door is 1460mms wide and inner door is 1520mms wide. Reception is well lit with table lamps and natural light.
The lounges in the hotel are located on the upper ground floor where the surfaces are carpeted and there is one short pile rug. There are no corridors; the doorways between rooms are 820mms at the narrowest. Assistance dogs are more than welcome within the lounges. As our lounges are not wheelchair accessible we are more than happy to organise direct access to the dining room for breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner for both residents and non residents.
Both the Drawing room and Salon feature a mixture of seating arrangements with low level coffee tables (from 380mms to 720mms) and seating ranging from soft deep cushioned to straight back chairs and sofas.
The hotel has an accessible cloakroom next to the dining room, fitted with handrails (width of entry 665mms, height of toilet 420mms) for customers requiring wheel chair access or those with reduced mobility.
Our gardens can be accessed from the gravel car park; on the restaurant side of the hotel access is direct via well maintained, wide paths. On the church side of the hotel there are three steps down to the garden so access is gained on the Coach house side of the hotel. The front lawn is sunken but is accessible from the path by the front gate.
Our restaurant is located on the lower ground floor and the surface is wooden floor boards.
Full waiter service is provided at breakfast, lunch and dinner. Please let us know in advance if you have any special dietary needs. Afternoon tea is normally served in our lounges but can easily be arranged in the restaurant so those with reduced mobility can enjoy the experience.
The menu is printed and can be verbally presented or provided in large print if required.
There is ample moveable seating and there are chairs without arms. The restaurant area is well-lit, with lots of natural daylight during daytime hours.
The accessible toilet is located down a shallow ramp where the corridor is 920mms at it’s narrowest.
Magnolia is situated on the ground floor of the Coach House. The room is well lit with ceiling spot lights, table lamps and natural light from the windows. There is a shallow ramp from the gravel car park to the door of the Coach House where there is a slightly raised threshold, door width 800mms; access to the room is over a bristle door mat type surface and through a door with a width of 760mms. The main bedroom has to direct access to the bathroom and access over a low threshold to the private garden through double doors (width 1050mms), the garden is paved and has some grass, there is also access to the garden from our rear gravel car park the gate is 1190mms.
The bathroom comprises of a shower with a portable seat and grab rail, a toilet seat (430mm high, there is no handle on the wall) and washbasin (840mm high). The bathroom and benefits from natural light from a single window.
In order to safely evacuate, we will need to conduct a personal emergency evacuation plan on arrival to understand your specific requirements. Should evacuation be necessary, our alarm will sound be stopped and then reactivated to signal an evacuation. Between 11pm and 7am the alarm will sound continuously.
Guide dogs and accredited assistance dogs are welcome throughout our hotel.
